Space is a luxury in Hong Kong so One96 suites are perfect for the independent traveller. This funky boutique hotel allows you to stay in a hip part of Hong Kong and experience life like a local. Explore cool Sheung Wan, shop nearby or sample the area’s many restaurants before returning to enjoy the urban views from your city pad.

The apartment/hotel is about 10 minutes’ walk to Central’s shops and offices. If you need to explore further afield, head to Sheung Wan MTR underground train station, about five minutes away. You’re smack on the border of the interesting neighbourhoods of Noho and Soho and not too far from the bars of Lan Kwai Fong. The area is a mix of traditional Hong Kong, hip cafes and shops.

Friendly staff will greet you from a small reception on the ground floor. There’s no restaurant or communal areas apart from a tiny lounge on level one that’s stocked with continental breakfast, snacks and soft drinks. You can use the gym next door at the Putman.
Daily housekeeping is discrete and wifi is fast and free.

If you want a quiet night in you can whip up something in the kitchenette with full-size fridge/freezer and microwave. You can also borrow cooking equipment from reception.

Stock up with goodies from Marks and Spencers or Market Place by Jasons (just down the street).

The Nespresso machine is a nice touch plus there’s a range of good teas. Limited tableware and cutlery are supplied. Nearby is a range of cafes, noodle places and restaurants so you won’t go hungry.
